Submission Guidelines: We change out the art in our Advertising Agency about four times a year. We like to offer opportunities to local artists. Show’s tend to stay up for 2-3 months. We have thee large walls we use in our lobby and workshop. Call Joseph for more info or to come and see our space.

Central Library Art Shows Call for Artists

Event Location: Madison Public Library: Central Library | 201 W Mifflin St, Madison, WI 53703

Event / Project Description: The new central library has an application process to exhibit work in the building. There are multiple unique opportunities that include the following spaces. A jury selects exhibitions on a yearly basis. The next deadline for applications is JANUARY 15th, 2016.

  • Diane Endres Ballweg Art Gallery on 3rd Floor (generally 2 month shows)
  • 1st & 2nd floor 2D display spaces on Mifflin St. wall (generally 2-4 month shows)
  • Video art screen on 1st floor (generally 2 month shows)
  • Entire building for installations, performance art, and site-specific work (timeframe varies)

The jury will meet and inform all applicants of their application status by March 1, 2016. Exhibitions will be awarded for Summer 2016 through the first half of 2017.  We receive a large number of applications and regret that we cannot offer every applicant an exhibition at Central Library. If you are interested in a show at a branch library, please contact the specific branch where you would like to exhibit your work.
