Fishmonger Studio (wall sculptures)
Windworker Studio (kinetic garden sculptures)
Since I was a kid, I’ve been fascinated by fish- fish I caught with my Dad, fish in our fish tanks and now, fish in my backyard pond. I love that fish come in all kinds of colors and shapes- seemingly endless in their variety. There’s so many interpretations that can be made and are still to be found. This variety is a treasure trove for me as an artist and that’s why I started Fishmonger Studio. To make my fish, I use a multi-media approach- wood, paper, fabric, metal and glass beads.
I also created Windworker Studio. That’s where I make kinetic garden sculptures from plumbing pipe, vinyl siding, upcycled bike rims and LDPE plastic. The sculptures are called Windflowers, and they spin endlessly in even the slightest breeze. Like the perennials they mimic, they are winter-hardy and require little maintenance. I hope you find them to be whimsical and beautiful.
